My name is Mark Ewing and I am a potter in the Catawba valley tradition. I was trained by 3rd generation C.V. potter. I do traditional local forms using alkaline and slip glazes. I wood and electric fire.

Marsha has been a self-employed potter for over thirty-five years, concentrating on utilitarian pieces for everyday use. She works extensively with colored slips and various resist techniques, as well as carving and texturing the clay.
Founded in 1977. Westmoore Pottery makes traditional earthenware and stoneware, some plain and some decorated, with a concentration on styles of pottery that were made or used in North Carolina prior to 1840.
