I have been a potter for almost fifty years. I started out digging all my clay and making my glazes, however, father time put a stop to that. I spend part of each day in my shop making a variety of items, from face jugs to teapots.

I have been working in clay over 45 years. We produce gas fired stoneware, earthenware, saggar ware, both decorative and utilitarian. Our new studio is located in the historic district in Edenton, NC.
Stoneware bowls, mugs, lamps, jars, vases, candle lanterns, votives, colanders, pitchers, wine coolers, oil lamps, soap dishes, spoon rests, pour bottles, salt shakers, birdhouses, clocks, and ornaments, along with porcelain earrings, pins and necklaces.
Wheel thrown,decorative, functional, high fired stoneware using a gas reduction kiln, wax resist and slips to create vases, dinnerware, lamps, mugs, bowls, pitchers, jugs, covered jars, etc.

My studio and wood firing kiln set on 17 acres of woodland in Greene County. The kiln is fired twice a year, spring and fall. My work is figurative sculptures of birds and fish which are inspired by the surroundings of my home on the water in Wilmington, NC.
