Ever wanted to get your hands on some clay? Take a throwing lesson at the North Carolina Pottery Center! NCPC instructor and artist-in-residence Abby Flynt will guide you through the process of centering clay and turning pots on the wheel. This class is for beginners but those with prior wheel experience are welcome! At the end of the class session, you will choose a glaze, and the instructor will glaze your work and fire it for you. (The glazing & firing process typically takes 2-3 weeks, and you will need to pick up the piece once it is finished. All work must be picked up within 60 days.) Students should expect to take home 3-5 pieces. All work completed will be food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
