Stoke your enthusiasm for pottery by helping fire both the traditional groundhog and two-chamber noborigama kilns at the NC Pottery Center! This workshop gives participants hands-on experience in all aspects of woodfiring & immersion in the 200+ years old Seagrove pottery tradition.

Local potters Chad Brown, Hitomi Shibata and Anne Pärtna will lead participants through the glazing, loading, firing and unloading processes. All instructors have extensive experience in firing the NCPC kilns as well as their own kilns. Participants will have the opportunity to put pots in both kilns. Additional instructions will be sent after participation confirmation.
