Beginner Bonsai Workshop

Enthusiastic bonsai teacher Harold Johnson will give participants a thorough introduction to the beautiful world of bonsai in this workshop.
Participants will learn how to create, style, and care for these living landscapes. Harold will have a variety of bonsai on hand to show which species make good bonsai and will demonstrate how to turn nursery stock into a starter tree.
After learning about the aesthetics of bonsai pots, participants will create their own ceramic planters!
About Our Presenter
Harold Johnson has practiced the art of bonsai for over 20 years, studying it throughout the US and even Japan. Harold has been an integral part of the North Carolina bonsai scene and currently serves as the Vice President of the Triangle Bonsai Society.
