The Bright Angle is a ceramic design studio based in Asheville, NC. Rooted in thoughtful design and careful craftsmanship, we create ceramics to bring beauty and function to the world.
Eric Serritella transforms clay into birch, charred, and weathered logs. A master of hyper-realism, his trompe l’oeil sculptures are internationally recognized for their exquisite design and realistic textures. Works are in the Metropolitan, Smithsonian and Carnegie museums, among others
We make wheel thrown and hand built porcelain pottery. All pieces are functional and decorative.We specialize in crystalline glaze. Many pieces have elaborate pierced designs, cut out by hand. All work is made on site, by Frank and Cindy. We have been in Seagrove since 2010.

Lively functional and decorative porcelain, each piece softly altered while freshly wheel-thrown. Mugs to candelabra/menorahs. In a soda kiln, flames decorate anticipated edges, and brighten a wide, colorful palette. For daily use and enjoyment.
Mud Duck Pottery makes functional and decorative high fired stoneware with ash glazes. A full line of lamps is available, and we will make custom lamps on request. We also have horse hair pottery in traditional and decorative shapes.
