I have been a potter for almost fifty years. I started out digging all my clay and making my glazes, however, father time put a stop to that. I spend part of each day in my shop making a variety of items, from face jugs to teapots.
We make functional stoneware pottery. High fired reduction and electric hand decorated pots. We make a wide range of colorful glazes and hand decorated wildlife and floral motifs. We are known for our red, blue, green, and dramatic black and white glazes.
Doe Ridge Pottery, established 1978, has its gallery in Downtown Boone selling exclusively local pottery from the High Country. It is the home to 18 exceptional Potters including Bob Meier, the owner and master Potter for Doe Ridge Pottery.
