East Carolina University’s Ceramics Guild presents an exhibition that takes a closer look at the variety of techniques using fuel-burning kilns. At ECU Ceramics, students experiment with different fuel types and firing atmospheres to achieve unique surfaces and finish qualities on their creative work. This exhibition showcases current work by ECU students whose explorations span the ranges of reduction atmospheres using gas or wood as fuel coupled with the application of ceramic, wood-ash, and salt-vapor glazing in stoneware temperatures.
Please join us for the Opening Reception on Saturday, September 17th, from 12:00-2:00 pm. The reception is open to the public and free of charge.
